Bodo v.Borries

Leader of the Analysis Center

Prof. in Education with special regard to history didactics at the University of Hamburg since 1976. He received his Dr. degree in social and economic history, worked as a highschool teacher. He has produced learning material for history of gender, childhood, environmental issues and colonialism. His fields of research are history textbooks, historical learning and historical consciousness (qualitative and quantitative empirical studies).

Andreas Körber, Dr.phil. (since 1999)

Project Manager in the Analysis Center

studied history, geography and educational sciences at the University of Hamburg. He graduated in 1993 and is currently working on a doctoral dissertation. Since 1990 he has been involved in empirical studies on historical consciousness and has worked as project manager in the analysis centre of the project in YOUTH and HISTORY in Hamburg. He has published on Bulgarian history and the use of new media in school-projects.

Angela Kindervater

studied educational sciences, sociology and psychology at the University of Hamburg. Her special interests are authoritarianism and anti-semitism. She has been working in several international projects on psychology and educational science since 1990.
She is member of the International Society for Political Psychology (ISPP).

Oliver Baeck

Student of history, mathmatics and pedagogy at the University of Hamburg. He has been involved in empirical projects on historical consciousness since 1992.
He left the project in February 1998.

Signe Barschdorff

Coordinator of the Follow-Up Projects

studied history, German and educational sciences at the Universities of Muenster and Tours. She graduated in 1996 and is currently working on a doctoral dissertation. Since summer 1996, she has been working for the Körber-Foundation in projects about historical learning. She left the project in February 1998.
She is a teacher for History and German at the Wolfgang-Borchert-Gymnasium in Halstenbek since January 2000 .
