Associated Professor in the Department of Social Theory, Faculty of Philosophy, Vilnius University. His thesis (1989) was titeled The Idea of History in Philosophy. His main areas of work are theory of historiography and history-didactics.

Irena Šutiniene

Sociologist. She graduated from Vilnius University. She is research fellow of the Lithuanian Institute of Philosophy and Sociology and since 1990 focuses her work on issues of collective memory and historical consciousness.
