Mario Carretero

Professor in Cognitive Psychology at the Universidad Autonóma of Madrid, his work about history learning and understanding deals with both reasoning processes and cognitive analysis of history textbooks of different countries. He has published, along with James F. Voss Cognitive and Instructional Processes in History and Social Sciences Hillsdale: Lawrence Erlbaum, 1994 and Reasoning and Learning in History (Woburn; in press).

Margarita Limón

Lecturer in in Cognitive Psychology at the Universidad de Málaga (Spain). She received her PhD from the the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her work in the field of learning and understanding deals with both reasoning processes and conceptual change in History. She has participated in the organization of two international seminars about cognitive and instructional processes in History and the Social Sciences held at the University Autónoma de Madrid in 1992 and 1994, directed by Mario Carretero and James F. Voss.
