Irina Bekeshkina

Senior Researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and Deputy Director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation. She is a graduate of the University of Kyiv. She received her doctoral degree with a work on "The Structure of Personality" in 1986. Fields of her present scientific interests are: Societies in the transitional periods, sociology of personality, political sociology, public opinion polls. Her main publications include: "Democratization of Society and the Development of Personality" (1992, with co-authors), "Conflictological Analysis of the Situation in Ukraine" (1994), "Social Conflicts and the Youth" (1994, with co-author).
